Sean and Allison Sewell
Resident Innkeepers At Nature’s Door
Sean and Allison met in 1997 in Whistler. Their relationship grew and strengthened over the following two years surviving long distance while Allison returned to her hometown in the UK to complete her university studies. Sean, originally from Vancouver Island, waited patiently in Whistler until Allison graduated and then, was soon to follow. Together they traveled much of Europe taking employment opportunities along the way in both the UK and Greece. In 2001, they decided to unpack their bags and leave the life of nomads behind returning to Whistler making it their permanent home – but not before one last amazing trip. In 2002 on a sunset beach on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii with swimming turtles and golden sands, Sean and Allison married. They share their home with a “fluffy family” Naddie, a German Shepherd adventure dog, and two beautiful Burmese cats, Arthur and Nemo. In their professional careers Sean and Allison have accumulated experience as Property Managers, Holiday Representatives and Guest Service Agents. In their personal careers as well as living and loving the active lifestyle in Whistler, Sean is a qualified Divemaster and Allison holds a degree in Dance Studies.
Brad and Monique Kohler
Resident Innkeepers Tonopalo
Brad and Monique (“Mo”) first met at Yosemite’s prestigious Ahwahnee Hotel when the two teamed up as Dining Room and Food and Beverage Managers. Prior to that, Brad was employed at a number of celebrated establishments including The Boulevard Café in North Lake Tahoe, Trilogy Restaurant and Auberge Du Soleil in the Napa Valley. Brad is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to food and wine, which is complemented by his zeal for initiating amazing Owner experiences. Mo’s experience is also extensive. She not only managed the Ahwahnee’s dining room and food and beverage efforts, but also championed their demanding banquet and special event schedule. When the Kohlers are able to break away from Tonopalo they enjoy riding their his-and-hers Ducati motorcycles. Brad and Mo are passionate about motorcycling—having toured the world over on two wheels. Brad says motorcycling has given them great worldly exposure, been an eye-opener and has exposed them to all sorts of cultures and fascinating people. The Kohlers also enjoy leisure time at the Lake with their black lab mix dog, Zak. Brad and Mo have been the Resident Innkeepers at Tonopalo since August 2003.
